Permission to Conduct Trial Operations of Unconventional Aircraft in Hong Kong

Under Part IXA of the Air Navigation (Hong Kong) Order 1995 (“AN(HK)O”), the Director-General of Civil Aviation (under authorisation by the Chief Executive) may, on written application, permit trial operations of unconventional aircraft in Hong Kong under specified conditions.

The following document is issued pursuant to Article 82C of the AN(HK)O for specifying the class or description of aircraft for the purpose of Part IXA and for providing practical guidance in respect of that Part:

The following advisory circular should be read in conjunction with the Practical Guidance and relevant documents published by the CAD, and will be subject to review and update from time to time in the light of accumulation of empirical data and operational experience, advancement of technology and prevailing international standards and best practices.
