Master Pay Scale Point 16 ($37,585 per month) to Master Pay Scale Point 21 ($47,950 per month).

Candidates should have –

1. a Bachelor’s degree from a university in Hong Kong, or equivalent [See Note (1)];

2. a pass result in the Aptitude Test (“AT”) in the Common Recruitment Examination (“CRE”) [See Note (2)];

3. met the language proficiency requirements of Level 2 result in Use of English (“UE”) paper and Level 1 result in Use of Chinese (“UC”) paper in the CRE, or equivalent [See Note (2)] and;

1. Final year undergraduates may also apply; if selected, appointment will be subject to their obtaining the requisite academic qualification within 2025/26 academic year.

2. The results of the AT paper in the CRE are classified as Pass or Fail. The results of the UC and UE papers of the CRE are classified as Level 2, Level 1 or Fail, with Level 2 being the highest.

   For civil service appointment purpose, Level 5 or above in Chinese Language of the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (“HKDSEE”); or Grade C or above in Chinese Language and Culture or Chinese Language and Literature of the Hong Kong Advanced Level Examination (“HKALE”), are accepted as equivalent to Level 2 in the UC paper of the CRE. Level 4 in Chinese Language of the HKDSEE; or Grade D in Chinese Language and Culture or Chinese Language and Literature of the HKALE, are accepted as equivalent to Level 1 in the UC paper of the CRE.

   Level 5 or above in English Language of the HKDSEE; or Grade C or above in Use of English of the HKALE; or Grade C or above in English Language of the General Certificate of Education (Advanced Level) (“GCE A Level”), are accepted as equivalent to Level 2 in the UE paper of the CRE. Level 4 in English Language of the HKDSEE; or Grade D in Use of English of the HKALE; or Grade D in English Language of the GCE A Level, are accepted as equivalent to Level 1 in the UE paper of the CRE.

   Applicants with an overall band of 6.5 or above with no subtest score below band 6 obtained in the same sitting in the Academic Module of the International English Language Testing System (“IELTS”) within the two-year validity period of the test result are accepted as equivalent to Level 2 in the UE paper of the CRE. The IELTS test result must be valid on any date during the application period (i.e. from 28 August 2026 to 11 September 2026).

   Applicants who do not possess the requisite CRE results, or equivalent, must have made a separate application for taking the coming CRE in October 2026 in Hong Kong. Otherwise, they may not meet the entry requirements of the post they apply for. For applicants who will take the above CRE, their applications will be processed subject to their obtaining the requisite CRE results.

3. All applicants for civil service jobs will be assessed on their knowledge of the Basic Law and the National Security Law. A pass result in the BLNST is an entry requirement for all civil service jobs. Only those candidates who have passed the BLNST will be considered for appointment.

   For candidates who have not taken the relevant BLNST or have not attained a pass result in the relevant BLNST at the time of application, they may still apply for the job and arrangements will be made for them to take the relevant BLNST during the recruitment process.

Duties:

Assistant Operations Officers (Aviation Administration) are mainly deployed on assisting Operations Officers in performing duties related to –

1. administrative and regulatory duties associated with licensing of aerodromes, aviation safety and security, heliport development, environmental management, air services and air navigation services;

2. administrative duties related to international cooperation and training matters;

3. provision of technical support to the planning of aviation related facilities;

4. inspection and monitoring of flight and ground operations of airline operators; and

5. assessment of applications for flight crew licenses and administration of related examinations.

The amount of gratuity payable will be the sum which, when added to the Government’s contribution to the Mandatory Provident Fund Schemes, equals to 15% of the total basic salary drawn during the contract period. Summer interns are engaged under non-civil service appointment. The employment period will last for about two months between July and August 2026. They are normally required to work 44 hours per week, inclusive of meal break.

A Part-time Air Traffic Control Simulator Operator is mainly deployed [Remark (1)]:

1. to attend a one-day induction training and to successfully complete the on-the-job pseudo-pilot training within 3 months [Remark (2)];
2. to operate the pseudo-pilot workstations of the ATC Surveillance Simulator and Control Tower Simulator;
3. to update the exercises and parameter databases of the simulators;
4. to assist in the preparation of simulator exercises;
5. to assist in updating the teaching material and to conduct on-the-job training of pseudo-pilot trainees; and
6. to perform various other functions in support of the running of the training courses for Training Unit (TU) of the Air Traffic Management Division of the CAD.

Remarks :

1. A Part-time Air Traffic Control Simulator Operator is expected to work mostly in normal office hours but may be required to work in irregular hours when necessary. Working hours will normally be less than 17 hours per week or less than 68 hours in a 4-week period. For deployment planning, in each month every Part-time Air Traffic Control Simulator Operator is required to provide the days, Monday to Friday and excluding public holidays and weekends, available for duties assignment of the next month, such that the aggregated available days submitted for that month and the preceding 2 months are not less than 6 days. A Contract Senior Executive Assistant is mainly deployed to:

1. conduct recruitment exercises and liaise with internal and external parties on matters at different stages of recruitment exercises such as arrangement of examinations, vetting applications, preparing for interviews, drafting reports, etc.;
2. prepare draft replies to returns, enquiries and requests in connection with recruitment exercises;
3. supervise subordinates in conducting recruitment exercises;
4. assist in records management matters; and
5. perform any other duties as assigned by seniors.

Successful candidate will be appointed on non-civil service contract terms up to 31 March 2027. Renewal of contract will be subject to service need of the department and the performance and conduct of the candidate.
