Duties of Electronics Engineer

  1. Planning, implementation and commissioning of telecommunications, radio, navigational aids, surveillance systems, air traffic management systems and other electronics systems;
  2. Supervision, inspection and approval of operating and maintenance standards, procedures and practices, safety management assessment and audit etc. for telecommunications, radio, navigational aids, surveillance systems, air traffic management systems and other electronics systems; and
  3. System design and hardware/software development/maintenance for civil aviation related computer systems.

(Note: Post holders may be required to work irregular hours.)

Entry Requirements

Candidates should -

  • be Corporate Members of the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers (Electronics or Information Discipline) elected after 5 December 1975, or equivalent;
  • have a pass result in the Aptitude Test in the Common Recruitment Examination (CRE);
  • have met the language proficiency requirements of Level 1 results in the two language papers (Use of Chinese and Use of English) in the CRE, or equivalent; and
  • have a pass result in the Basic Law and National Security Law test.

Salary

Master Pay Scale Point 32 to Point 44
