Welcome to the homepage of the Civil Aviation Department (CAD).

Established in 1946, the CAD moves with the times and strives to maintain a safe, efficient and sustainable world-class air transportation system over 80 years.

Apart from the regulatory role in aviation safety, the CAD also provides air navigation services for flights at the Hong Kong International Airport and in the Hong Kong Flight Information Region.

We will continue to leverage the unique advantages of having strong support of the motherland and being closely connected to the world under the "one country, two systems" principle, and integrate into national development. We will also work collaboratively with the international, regional and local aviation industry to promote high-quality aviation development, thereby consolidating Hong Kong’s leading position as an international aviation hub.
